C-Fit Community connects Chesterfield County residents and visitors with information to enhance their health and wellness.

Hello! How are you? Are you well?

It’s a standard response to a standard greeting: “How are you?” “Doing well.” But what is wellness, exactly? Is it simply feeling okay at the moment? Or is wellness something more?

We believe wellness is more than not being sick. There are actually eight dimensions of wellness:

  • Emotional
  • Environmental
  • Financial
  • Intellectual
  • Occupational
  • Physical
  • Social
  • Spiritual

Welcome to C-Fit Community, a new community initiative led by Chesterfield County. Our mission is to create an inclusive culture of positive change that enhances the health, well-being, and quality of life for our residents, workers, students and visitors. We strive to engage our community through a collaboration among various county departments, business partners, nonprofits and other local organizations with an interest in improving our collective health and wellness. So whether you live, work, learn, worship, or play here, this website is for you. Our Resources

Welcome to the heart of C-Fit Community – the Resource Portal! Here you’ll find a wealth of information related
to the three main categories of wellness – what we call Body, Mind & Spirit, and Community.

Body

Health begins with physical wellness. Keeping your body in shape is essential to overall well-being. C-Fit Community guides you to materials promoting good physical habits, active lifestyles, optimal nutrition and preventative medical care.

Mind & Spirit

A healthy body alone isn’t enough. Emotional and spiritual wellness are necessary to support overall physical health. Depression, moodiness and emotional upsets can put stress on the body. To enhance total well-being, C-Fit Community helps to chart a path to mental health resources, faith communities, and practices such as meditation, mindfulness, stress reduction, self-care, personal reflection, and more.
