Creating Space for Conversation and Belonging
Café con la Comunidad is a special evening designed to connect Chesterfield County leaders with the county’s Spanish-speaking families. Hosted at the Beulah Recreation Center, this event opens the door to meaningful conversation, cultural understanding, and greater community access.
Native Spanish speakers are invited to share ideas, ask questions, and connect with county departments in a welcoming, language-accessible environment—supported by real-time interpretation and bilingual staff.
What to Expect

✔️ Live interpretation during group conversations with county leaders
✔️ Culturally responsive staff from Social Services, Police, Fire & EMS, Libraries, and Parks & Recreation
✔️ Family-friendly atmosphere with refreshments, conversation, and smiles
Whether you’re new to Chesterfield or have lived here for years, this event is designed to ensure your voice is heard and your questions are answered—in your preferred language, in your community.
Volunteers Make This Event Possible
We’re inviting volunteers—bilingual or English-speaking—to help create a smooth, welcoming, and inclusive experience for all attendees.
Volunteer roles include:
- Greeting guests and offering directions
- Supporting county staff at resource tables
- Assisting with event setup or breakdown
- Offering a warm, friendly presence throughout the evening
